Well, Jeter has a better OPS, more Win Shares, a better VORP, a better OBP, more runs, more RBIs, a higher slugging, a higher average, more home runs. The only thing Pods wins in is SB. I'm rather sure the stats that favor Jeter would help a team far more than an SB. Also, Jeters runs created is 55 to Pods 41. And Pods isn't that great of a fielder either (but neither is Jeter.)

Don't you think using SB% isn't very wise since teams are expecting Podsednik to run; Jeter can be more selective when he runs (bad defensive catcher, runner on third, pitcher who is slow to the plate). The fact Podsednik has a better % while stealing far more frequently shows how much better of a baserunner he is.

stealer. There's a difference between basestealing and baserunning. Jeter's widely recognized to be the best or close to it base
runner in baseball.
