Derrek Lee injured

I got a whole nother story on yahoo:

Jul 6 Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee left Tuesday night's game against the Braves with an apparent leg injury. He suffered the injury during an at-bat in the first inning and had to leave the game after the second frame. Todd Walker moved from second to first after Lee left the game.
Views: The loss of Lee, who is hitting .378 with 25 homers and 67 RBI, would obviously be a big blow to all his fantasy owners. Once there is more word on the nature of his injury, we'll pass it along.

Loose Cannon, it's his shoulder, try reading actual news sources instead of what pops up on the notes icon by D. Lee's name on your roster page.

Yep.. it's the shoulder...

Lee will undergo an MRI on Wednesday on his left shoulder, which has some inflammation and forced him out of Tuesday's game, the Cubs' website reports.

"It's from one swing," Lee said. "I just tweaked it a little bit and it caused some inflammation." Lee has had some inflammation in his shoulder for nearly two weeks. He declined an invitation to participate in the Home Run Derby at the All-Star Game because of it. Lee will be examined Wednesday by Braves physician Dr. Joe Chandler. Said Lee: "It won't be long [that I'll be out]. We'll see how it is [Wednesday]. If not, I'll take a day." Manager Dusty Baker said Todd Walker would start at first if Lee can't go.

The MRI on Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee's injured left shoulder came back negative, but the All-Star will miss Wednesday's game against the Braves and is listed as day-to-day, reports the Associated Press. Lee was forced to leave Tuesday's 6-1 loss to the Braves in the third inning with mild inflammation in the shoulder. "Hopefully, he will be back in a couple of days," said manager Dusty Baker. "We've got to [focus] on getting him strong, keeping him healthy."

Updated news

Cubs manager Dusty Baker said Thursday that the inflammation in Lee's left shoulder had worsened, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

"He's more sore today than he was [Wednesday],'' said Baker, who was asked if resting Lee through the All-Star break was a possibility. "We'll see how he feels. It's a day-to-day thing. We'll have to wait until [Friday night].'' When informed of Baker's comments, Lee said his shoulder wasn't sorer Thursday, though it did remain sore. He didn't play in the doubleheader against the Braves. Lee, who aggravated the shoulder on a first-inning swing Tuesday, disagreed with any suggestion that he might sit out the three games in Florida before the break or that his All-Star start might be in jeopardy. "I'll play [Friday night] or the next day at the latest,'' Lee said. Consider Lee day-to-day, and don't count on anything from him until after the break.

No surprise that his shoulder has a problem. Afterall, he's been carrying an entire team on it all season B-)
