Verlander has better K potential, he would be my choice

Verlander easily has the higher ceiling. Duke will probably get more playing time this year, though.

in a keeper, it should easily be verlander... his numbers should be better all around than dukes especially in the strikeout department.... as long as verlander is throwing strikes(he still has a game here and there where wildness gets him), he can easily be a top 10 SP in a few years.....

Agree it's Verlander. Nothing wrong with Duke, but he's not a top of the rotation prospect. Verlander is.

Duke looks really good in his ML debut:

7 IP 3 ER 9 K at his first start
7 IP 0 ER 8 K 1 W at his 2nd start.

I am not high on Duke, but he will be good. He has the control needed to be a top pitcher. Verlander has better stuff, but I don't see him being a top 10 guy like others say.

I'd go Duke.
