I know how you feel. I have Mike Williams, who's not much better with his 5.79 ERA! Grrrrr! Those damn closers, either you love em (Smoltz) or you hate em (Williams)!

unfortunately for me, I have Politte and Williams, but I also have Williamson, who hasn't been bad. It's a shaky group, but the rest of my team has been able to make up for their poor outings.
SIGH... my closers are: benitez, williams, politte, and jimenez
I heal your pain...
dont do anything drastic, the jays will get a lot of save chances and they dont have anyone else to take his spot... and I HIGHLY doubt they will trade for another closer
Any word about who would be next in line for the Jays if Cliff Pollitte can't hold onto the closer role? I doubt they would bring back Escobar since his last start was amazing.
The only other pitcher that they could possibly use is Aquilino Lopez, who has been pitching pretty strong lately, but is a rookie and has control issues. Yesterday, when it looked like Escobar was going to put enough runners on base to create a save situation, they had Lopez and not Politte warming in the bullpen.
I've got Foulke, Baez, Carter, and Valverde, so I feel y'alls pain as well. Foulke has been hot all year, but the rest of the guys haven't been doing that great. Carter's been doing better than I expected and Valverde's a K machine. I too, wouldn't get rid of Politte right now. He was on a really hot stretch when he first inherited the job. Politte's cooled down, but I think he'll get it going soon enough.
