I can't find a source on this anywhere, either. TB website suggests they called up Chris Singleton yesterday after they put Munson on the DL. Any links on this?..

Does this mean Chris Singleton won't get to play after all? What a disappointment that would be. It would be for the best if Gathright takes over as the team's starting center fielder, even if he's not going to produce quite as well as Damon Hollins has to this point. Unfortunately, that would probably mean fewer at-bats for Jonny Gomes as well as Hollins. Gathright should be picked up immediately in AL-only leagues. Mixed leaguers will want to wait and see how much he plays.

Awesome, thanks bmcginni!

I'm in a deep 14-team league... I think I'll pick him up right now.

Holy crap... Just checked and he's in the lineup TODAY! Let's go, Joey!!!

Wow, I'm in a 19-teamer, and I just picked him up too!

I'm actually not sure where he would fit into my lineup, but if he plays regularly I'm sure I can find a way.. ;-)

From Yahoo: ( :-t )

Jul 3 The Tampa Bay Devil Rays placed infielder Alex Gonzalez on the 15-day disabled list with a neck injury and recalled Gathright from Triple-A Durham on Sunday. At Durham, the speedy outfielder was batting .305 with a .388 on-base percentage, 31 steals and 46 runs scored in 58 games.

Advice: There isn't a starting job awaiting Gathright with the Rays, but he has some fantasy value because of his basestealing ability. He stole six bases in 19 games with the Rays last season, and three more in six games this season. Nine steals in 25 games and he's not a starter. He did bat .350 in 20 at-bats for Tampa Bay earlier this season.

Sorry I didn't include a link on that first post... but i knew it was true. I see no reason why pinella won't let him run whenever he gets on base.
