Clemens pitched remarkable today. It was the rest of the team that failed him. The batters didn't do their job, Torre pulled him too soon, and the bullpen screws up.
Although Clemens pitched well.. You gotta tip your hat to Wood. He's been lights out today, ask Choi! HA. That was bad i know.. but i couldnt resist.
I think most of the baseball world would be happy if Clemens blew his arm out the next start and never pitched again.
Well, maybe not most of the baseball world, but I would.
Give me a break, anyone who follows sports seriously acts immaturely at some point. Get off your high horse and look after yourself.
I don't hope he throws his arm out, but I do hope he makes another 50 starts and can't pick up that win. How sweet that would be.
I wouldn't want to see him destroy his arm. But, boy, would I love for him to get caught in the pitching equivalent of a Sosa incident. Maybe if they were to find an emery board in his cap or something................
Hating opposing players is a part of sports. Fans pay to watch games, they buy the gear, the contribute to the Nielsen ratings that the networks covet so much, so we have a right to have sour grapes. I can complain all I want. I can hate players all I want. Maybe it's immature, but so is throwing a broken bat at Piazza (he thought it was the ball? worst excuse ever). At least I'm not hurting anyone.
I, too, hope Clemens never gets to 300- although I do realize he inevitably will.
The "I thought it was the ball" excuse is garbage. Clemens is a lying piece of crap. If he really thought it was the ball, he would've tried to impale Tino Martinez instead of Piazza, since the "ball" was in play.
