Pitching callups

Postby theclefe » Sat Jul 02, 2005 1:05 am

This is getting absurd. Verlander getting called up, Olsen, Duke, Snell. By the time my minor league draft comes there will no pitchers left to take. (no major league experience allowed at time of draft)

Aside from Billingsley and Diamond, I am having trouble picking clear favorites... since all the guys I scouted are now ineligible. Was wondering if you guys could throw a few top names out, so I don;t have a mental break down.

Thanks

Don't forget about Scott Baker for the Twins. He just got called up today. He will get 1-2 starts for injured Radke (neck) and if he impresses could be stick in the bullpen. Twins are a solid team so he could be pretty successful.

BTW, Red Sox prospect Abe Alverez has also called up to replace Matt Manti in the bullpen. Iknow he might be deep on some people's board.

Anibal Sanchez
Chris Lambert
Philip Hughes

3 names you'll need to know for drafts next year, or get them now before they become well known in the general populous
