Is it just me or?

Does it seem like every player is getting hurt nowadays? It seems like baseball players are so much more fragile than any other sport. Yet it is the least physical. I just don't get it.

Just messing, I don't understand too. How about seeing Prior play hockey. :-t (crack!)

I think baseball injuries come about because of the grind. It may be the least physical sport but these guys do it day in and day out for almost an entire year.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

162 games compared to 16 or 82... yes it is less physical, but with many more games, there is many more chances of injuries as well....

Table Tennis is physical as heck!! You want to take about sports that aren't physical lets talk about Bowling or Fishing.

Please don't badmouth Table Tennis players as though they may be short in stature they are the true athletes of our time.

I've had my share of bowling related injuries. None of them were quick to heal since they were all joint/tendon related. Most people would be surprised at the amount of injuries there are on the Pro Bowler's Tour every year, and the severity of the injuries.

Not nearly what hockey players have happen to them !+) , but they can still cost you a year easily.

i think extreme skipping, despite the danger implied by the name, has got to be the least physical. or golf.
