I wouldn't touch Chacon with a 10 foot pole. In fact, the only Rockies pitcher you should even consider allowing on your roster should be Jose Jimenez for a cheap saves source.

Chacon is utter waiver material. Don't listen to people that try to convince you he is fine at Coors Field because he grew up in Colorado or any of that other garbage. Take a look at his performance today at Coors. He got lit up like a Christmas tree, 11 earned runs in 3.2 innings. Yes, he does have 8 wins but unless you're playing in a h2h league and punting ERA and WHIP, the wins are not worth the damage.

I hope for your case that you didn't have him in your lineup. Lets compare these two guys with cars...Consider Chacon a brand new Buick that broke down, and Wolf a suped up VW Golf or something like it. Make any sense?

heh, i thought you meant who to start today. To ask which one would you rather have isn't even close. Wolf by far. Hell, I traded Jamie Moyer for Wolf, and don't regret it, despite Moyers' 9-1 start

Wolf is a much more consistent pitcher than chacon, so take him.

not even counting hte fact that chacon gave up 12 ER in 3.2 innings today... randy wolf is aproven commodity. traditionally, he's been a 2nd half stud who isn't that amazing early on in the season... this year he's gotten off to a pretty good start, despite a pretty dead phils team, and if he follows his career habits... you're looking at a virtual lock for 15 wins, and perhaps a solid chance at an era under 3, with a whip around 1.1.

i'd guess 16-7, 3.17 era, 1.14 whip

chacon? if he rebounds from this shelling, he still might be worth a roster spot. unfortunately for him, everyone's basically waiting for hte wheels to fall off of the shawn chacon express... and they might not ocmpletely, but as much as i like to see an unknown guy have a career year to make some bucks... i see him like 10-12 with a 3.8+ era, 1.3 whip or something.
