MESSAGE TO MLB UMPIRES

Postby amich1 » Fri Jul 01, 2005 7:05 pm

get over tossing players out of games already. I swear this season it seems like players get tossed before managers almost every time. This yr. both are getting tossed equally, if not more players. The standard protocol used to be player freaks out & yells at ump &manager comes in & steps in between, resumes yelling & gets tossed for the player... Just a lame trend from a fantasy persepective. Lots of catchers have been tossed by homeplate umps this week too.... Stupid trend & I hope it doesn't last b/c it effects the outcome of the game. Of course, some guys deserve it, but a questionable call should always favor the player, especially a starting catcher. Phillies & Atlanta both screwed by this yesterday.
Who umps the umps?
J.Lo? I knew her back when they said "Hey, ho".

i dont have any thing to do with the MLB umps ;-7 ;-7 Honest :-D :-D

but actually to answer your question, this is a trend that started several years ago.... as the umps of today take very little junk that the umps of the early 90s took in games..... several years ago, the umps would just stand there and take the verbal abuse where as now, i have seen several umpires chase after a player or manager to give him a piece of the his mind as well.....

Yeah, but in reality the umps need to show a cooler head. The ump does not need to toss a guy as long as the ump is not being showed up. The ump can stand there and talk/nod to/at the arguer, without feeling the need to control the game, their ego, or their superiority

Huh? You guys are kidding right? Umpires are authority figures and these guys need to show them respect. Umpires are not the player's " Baba-Booeys" to just ridicule in public. Don't do the time...
