Zach Duke called up ...

The Pirates purchased the contract of highly touted pitching prospect Zach Duke from their Indianapolis farm team Friday, the Associated Press reports. The 22-year-old Duke will make his major league debut for the Pirates when he starts Saturday night in Milwaukee against the Brewers.


Does he worth picking up ? anyone know about this guy ???

I picked Duke up, I'm eyeing the future(in a keeper league)...he's like 12-3 or something in AAA, dominated AA also and is a strikeout pitcher...I dropped Loaiza (washington) who has average numbers hoping to catch lightning in a bottle....

in a keeper league, he is definitely worth picking up... in NL only, i would probably give him a chance as well,,, but in a normal 12 team league, i would probably pass on him for now, unless u were real desperate for some k's... he has had great numbers through out his minor league career, and may very well do a good job this year with the pirates, or he may pitch 3 games and then get sent back down....
