Suspended game in Cincy?

Postby BobbyRoberto » Thu Jun 30, 2005 11:49 pm

The game in Cincy is delayed because of rain again and it doesn't look promising to get started up. Does anyone know what happens to the statistics so far in that game? It's tied 2-2 after 7 innings.

Do the stats count?

They've played enough where they should.

Entire game will be replayed Saturday as paert of a doubleheader (according to Sportscenter).

All stats from tonight count, so those of us enjoying the Lopez 3/3 don't suffer any loss.

I don't understand why they would restart from the beginning...but I wonder if tonight's game will count as a game played on yahoo or not.

Seems odd to me that they would replay the whole game, but as a Lopez owner, I'm not going to complain ;-D

Yes, it will count as a game played both in real and fantasy. Stats count as well.

So that game has no winner and Cincy and Houston will play 163 games this year?

If I recall correctly (and this is all from ancient memory), all player stats count after five innings. However, I believe it is also standard procedure to start from scratch if the game is tied and cannot be finished the same day.

They won't "play 163 games", because only 162 will count for their record. I think the offical game log for the season will list players having both today and tomorrow as a single game. This happened once before, a long time ago, and this is everything I seem to recall from it.
