I can't get rid of him either, eventhough he's hitting pretty well and running th bases like he used to. But nobody seems interested. Those that desperately need outfiled help are those, that never check on their teams... My league is really annoying! I actually managed to pull off two trades this year. Trade 1: Veron Wells for Brian Giles and trade 2: Austin Kearns for Jeff Bagwell. I regret trade 2 now, but I had so many outfielders, that I had to get rid of one. And Olerud hasn't benn producing this year either, so my 1st base positon pretty much sucks so far. BTW this ist the rest of my team:
C Mike Lieberthal (C-Phi)
1B Jeff Bagwell (1B-Hou)
2B Craig Biggio (2B-Hou)
SS Omar Vizquel (SS-Cle)
3B Eric Hinske (3B-Tor) (DL)
OF Chipper Jones (LF-Atl)
OF Andruw Jones (CF-Atl)
OF Gary Sheffield (RF-Atl)
Util Brian Giles (LF-Pit)
Bench John Olerud (1B-Sea)
Bench Kenny Lofton (CF-Pit)
Bench Darin Erstad (CF-Ana) (DL)
SP Dontrelle Willis (SP-Fla)
SP Mark Mulder (SP-Oak)
RP John Smoltz (RP-Atl)
RP Mike Williams (RP-Pit)
P Freddy Garcia (SP-Sea)
P Brett Myers (SP-Phi)
P Jose Contreras (SP,RP-NYY)
Bench Pedro Martinez (SP-Bos) (DL)
Bench Esteban Loaiza (SP-CWS)
DL Josh Beckett (SP-Fla)
Tough break, you have a lot of players that are not good enough to keep but not bad enough to drop. Plus, it's going to be hard trading outfielders for infielders. Erstad is coming off the DL and so he's a big question mark. Lofton starts hot but then cools off later so he's not a great investment. Olerud is more reliable but unspectacular.
I don't think Bagwell is your biggest concern. First, you need to find a 3B fast. Unfortunately, this position is probably pretty shallow in your league. As for SS, there has to be a better player in the FA pool than Vizquel. Unless you are in a 15+ team league, you can probably pick up someone.
Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first, the lesson afterwards.
Bagwell is not the same player he was two years ago. He's got a bum shoulder. He projects more toward .280-30-100 now. Still pretty solid, but his monster days are probably behind him.

This is why we register ... so you can't just be an asshole without accountablity ... so stepup to the plate "Baller" Register so we all can see what you are really about. I have formed my opinion ..

This is the first time I've complained about Bagwell. So before you post some crap like that, do some better research! And just like wrveres I've formed an oppinion on you too: You're a coward and a pussy!
Jeff Bagwell went 0-for-3 Sunday and did not hit a home run for the 32nd straight game. The drought of 121 at-bats is the longest homerless drought of Bagwell's career. After hitting a career-high 10 homers in April, he has just one long ball since. Not really surprising that Bagwell was quoted as saying home runs are ''overrated'' yesterday, citing run production as more important. Problem is, he's not doing that either. His shoulder could be giving him problems
I just stumbled upon this ... hell I would be pissed off too ..
Come on Bagwell .. I mean I don't have him on my team .. but it's fricking Bagwell .. right ??
