Cano is terrible? Are you frickin kidding me? Cano has been outstanding this season, especially as a 22 yr old rookie. The future looks great at 2B for the Yankees and Cano in all likelihood not going anywhere. Cano has to be in the top half of MLB 2B already. To call it the worst in baseball is an outrage.
Sorry but that statement is a farce and just completely pissed me off and tells me you probably didn't even know Cano was playing.
On Soriano, he strikes out too much still for the Yanks, especially with Michael who like OBP having a say in Yankee matters now.
He has the athleticism to play CF for sure, but who knows how he'd actually play.
It's an interesting idea, but I don't think the Yanks will sign him to play CF and they definately won't sign him as a 2B. As a CF though, you never know what the Yanks could do.
cano is terrible defensively. if you cant see that, then you are biased. he can handle the bat though
I am not very high on Cano. He has had a good start, but he is making well under the Yankee salary average. That is just unacceptable.
The Yanks should grab Craig Biggio. Older than dirt and can play both centerfield and second base. He could probably beat Bernie to the wall if Bernie was playing center, and Biggo second.

I actually thought that one of the main reasons the Yanks promoted him was for his defense? He's got a few more errors than you like to see out of your 2B at this point, but he's very young, and in watching him I think he handles himself there very well, for the most part. He moves very fluidly, gets over for throw downs, puts on tags, etc. very well.

He's definately not terrible. He's easily better than Soriano for one. I find it funny that you claim to know how he is as a defensive 2B when I highly doubt you've watched him much and definately not nearly to the extent I have. As a 22 yr old, he's still got plenty of time to get better. 2B defense is hardly a problem for the Yankees.

I respect Biggio and all and know he can still play, but get older is the last thing the Yankees want to/can afford to do right now.
h0rt, nice job noticing the tags... Cano's been amazing at making that quick, sweep tag on baserunners on higher throws from Jorge.

Better than Soriano defensively, or all around? I will take soriano in a heartbeat when it comes to fantasy.

Thanks. Now nobody can claim I don't actually watch them play.
I think Cano is a great prospect, actually. If he develops some homerun power to go with the power to the gaps he's already shown, he'll develop into a nice second base hitter, both in reality and fantasy baseball.

Definately right on there. He looks more than fine and servicable out there. He makes some mental errors, but what 22 yr old doesn't? For one thing, he goes into the hole and spins and throws exceptionally well from what I've seen.
