Pedro. While clemens may have the best stats, wins are important for cy young and he falls short. Willis has the ERA but his secondary numbers aren't nearly as good as pedros. Pedro is the complete package.
You can't have Livan Hernandez on there and not John Smoltz.
Actually, that's my bad (and my Washington homer-itis coming out ), I kind've forgot about Smoltz, I'd meant to include him initially. He's having a great year, over the past month he's been SICK, and he should really be like 10-4 or something, I know he got screwed out of a couple wins earlier. But even if he were on here, I don't think the results would change much. If Oswalt can't get more than 2 votes, I'm not sure Smoltz would fare any better. When you've got one guy impersonating Gibson '68, and another guy as dominant as Pedro, with Carpenter and Dontrelle in the mix, it's hard to get past that, even with Smoltz's great June.
Hey, thats cool. I would have voted for Carpenter or Willis regardless. Just thought it strange that Livan was included and not 'ole JS. The Washington thing explains all

Really hard to choose between Pedro and Clemens. Vote for Pedro! He got screwed when Zito got it! And Clemens has plenty.
I think it's really too bad how much record, your teams offense, defense and bullpen factor in to who is the Cy. Seams more like a team award than individual to me.
honestly, that's a legit gripe. the kid has been amazing, and 28 saves in the first three months is nothing to sneeze at. he's averaging almost a k/IP, his ERA and WHIP are below 1, and he's only blown 2 saves in 30 chances. if gagne was a legitimate candidate in '03, then chad at least deserves an honerable mention. (no one's saying that he's been "gagne-like", just that he deserves mention. )

Gagne won the Cy Young because he didn't blow a single save that season. Hoffman in '98 was 53 of 54 and he didn't win it. No way Cordero gets close.

that's true. the only way cordero is considered is if he keeps his era around 1 and gets at least 70 saves
