Im still too young to of seen a lot of these guys play but ive just heard from a lot of people that guys like willie mays, warrehn spahn, nolan ryan etc played for the mets. We even drafted Nolan Ryan, now that was good scouting.

Wright and Beltran right now. I liked beltran before and i still believe in him. Mookie, Strawberry, Ventura, Ordonez, Pedro i hope, and i also like Vince Coleman for what he did before he got in a met jersey, i liked him in STL then when he turned a met it made me happier even though he didnt play to the same par.

You know the Mets had a great lineup if you put all the people ever to put a jersey on and stuck em in there respective position, id prolly make it look like this. (btw doesnt matter how badly they played for the mets, as long as they were on the team)

No HM of Olerud at 1B (Gil Hodges also played 1B for the Mets)? Benitez over Franco? No Tim Teufel at 2B (I know Alomar was great, but his stint on the Mets sours me on him )? I'd rather see Jeff Kent at 2B, actually. As for other SS, guys worth mentioning are Tim Bogar and Kevin Elster, more I'm sure (Larry Bowa was also a SS with the Mets for a year). You've got to put Hall of Famer Gary Carter alongside Piazza as an HM, as well. Robin Ventura as an HM at 3B. Also, give me a HM of Doc Gooden at SP

I guess I like to root for the underdog, probably why I'm a Mets fan -- I always liked Dave Magadan and more recently, Steve Trachsel.

On another note, I can't believe nobody mentioned the great personality of Pedro. I mean, come on, how can you not love a big kid who runs through the sprinklers in the middle of a game
