Someone was cut by the Yanks......

Postby dimaggio5 » Thu Jun 30, 2005 2:38 am

From my fantasy baseball website.....

The Yankees may be planning to release both Paul Quantrill and Mike Stanton on Thursday.
Quantrill and Stanton shook hands and exchanged hugs with teammates and club personnel after Wednesday night's rainout at Camden Yards. Quantrill would not comment after leaving the clubhouse, and Stanton said, ''You can read between the lines.'' One of the roster spots is expected to be filled by another utility infielder, Felix Escalona. The Yankees could also recall Colter Bean if both Quantrill and Stanton go

Yeah, NY Times reported the same thing.

Sportscenter also just said it, giving credit to the Times.

Rotoworld was reporting that Coulter Bean will be called up to fill a roster spot. Here are his numbers in Columbus this year:

Club Class --- - GS IP W L SV ERA WHP R ER H BB K
Columbus AAA 0 37.1 2 3 0 3.40 1.24 18 14 29 17 47

Right now we are not carrying a 5th starter. In the long run who do you think will get roster spots: proctor, anderson, or Bean.
