I was running the first two on my desktop, but it still eventually succumbed. Had a firewall as well, sometimes I just don't understand how these parasites get on my machine.

Mozilla would help as would updated AV software. Also, make sure to regularly clean out your PC by running scans, cleaning your registry, and defragging.
Yeah, I recently made the move towards Mozilla. Thanks for all the tips, I suppose I already knew most of them and was just too lazy to realize that they won't work if you don't take the time to run them.

Exactly. Then the malware and parasites overrun your machine until you have a fatal error.
