I know there was a thread on Napster a few months ago, but I was wondering who uses this service and if they recommend it. I am being offered a 30 day no risk trial, then 9.95 for unlimited downloads thereafter.
Are there any spyware concerns? I'm hoping not, since it's now a pay site. What does anyone think? I'm not a free DLer, so suggestions of Kazaa and the like just aren't for me. Thanks.
the Napster burn protection has been cracked for a while. You can DL all the songs you want during the1st month and use the program to undo whatever protection they have on the files to render them unusable when you stop your subscription.
I have not used it and don't know where to get it though.

I wasn't even aware that they did this. I figured that once you DLed it, it was yours. Is this just for the first month?
If I was to do the 30 day free trial, then do Napster for a month, then cancel, would all of my songs be rendered unusable? Just the ones I DLed during the trial period? None of them?

i think you can just do it with the 30-day trial and don't need to pay for a month. don't have anymore info on the program though.

I'd love a free premium service. I used to use Diet K (KaZaA without the spyware) but 90% of the tracks you download now are just silence, or some clicking sound.
What's the deal with LimeWire Pro, Lof? Thanks in advance.
My opinion on Napster? I liked this company at ~ $8/share about 3 months ago and now it's trading at $4.12. I'm glad I didn't buy it but I did appreciate the 2,394,889,762,834 MP3's that I downloaded in March for $9.99.
