I am personally holding out Wood against the yanks, and Prior against the yanks....Then again I also held out Meche against Philly, Halladay against the Reds, and Washburn against the Expos....All were wins and is hard to look back at, but i had a plan and am sticking to it. Playing in a Roto league with an innings limit, Just traded Arod for RJ and Pedro and am trying to save some innings for the big boys later on.(was looking at being 115 innings over at the beginning of the week). That being said...with the luck i have had on my "off" week, START HIM!!!
I think you have to start him. I am, gotta have the Ks. The Yankees
trying extra hard for Clemens 300th has worked to the other teams
advantage so far. I think the Yankees will be lethal when Clemens
is going for 301.
If you start him, be prepared for a loss, at least 3-4 earned runs, and poor WHIP. If you need the Ks they'll probably be there. Kerry Wood isn't that great of a pitcher in his situation, he just strikes guys out. All the really top pitchers of the league keep their ERA under 3.00 for the season. Check Wood he's an annual 3.50 type ERA guy, he just gets overrated because he's a huge strikeout dude.

I would start Wood. Clemens is fighting a cold so he won't be in top shape. It'll be interesting though since Giambi is heating back up and Soriano is back in leadoff.
Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first, the lesson afterwards.
yeah, i sure enjoyed it. that makes you guys 1 and 1 on whether I should start pitchers. Wood worked out, but unfortunately I also started Brett Myers a couple of days ago. Thanks- this one makes up for Myers.

Yea, Woods career 49-34 record means a loss is likely. That 1.28 career is just awful. A career 3.75 at age 25 is just plain overrated. Randy Johnson at age 25, wasnt even close to Woods stats at 25.
Wood was rushed back early in 00 after his surgery, thats no secret. Its the only year he posted a 4 era.
