The book didn't have much of a suspenseful ending if I remember...


Now I need to watch the movie...

the original movie starred gene barry and had an anti-climactic ending that closely followed the book which was written over 100 yrs ago..hgwells and jules verne were geniuses and still are a good read today

My cousin told me "don't waste your money, just remember what happened in it two years ago when it was called Signs."

I'll probably see it anyway, just b/c I'm pretty easily amused and entertained.

lol... I told my wife the exact opposite when we saw Signs. I couldn't believe that Shyklkmkjmlan couldn't come up with something more original than a War of the Worlds take off.

The ending was a little underwhelming, but overall it was pretty awesome and very scary and suspenseful.

I was hoping for a better ending, but hey.....i was there cuz i wanted some special effects and some cool alien stuff.
