Jul. 1 The Boston Herald reports that, barring a setback,
Curt Schilling (P) Bos should return from his ankle injury as soon as next Saturday.
More good news...
Schilling (ankle, bone bruise) is next scheduled to make his second rehabilitation start on Monday for Triple-A Pawtucket, the Boston Herald reports.
Schilling got all positive reviews after his first rehab start Wednesday against Charlotte. "He looked good (Wednesday night)," Sox general manager Theo Epstein said. "He had no problems completing his delivery, and he made a couple of plays at first base. Everything improved over the course of the game with his velocity, command and breaking stuff. He averaged 92 (mph), touched 94 and looked like himself in his last two innings." If it is determined that this will be his final rehab start, Schilling would be in line for a return to Boston on July 9 or 10 against Baltimore.
Good news for those who've been waiting for him..!!!
