England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
Get him, get him, get him!!! In his last start vs. Oakland he threw seven shutout innings! That's Oakland we're talking about. I have him on my team too!
I picked him of the FA list just in time... (dropped Fossum), but someone cut Percival for some reason. I need him; my closers suck. What do I do? My bench is short, and all my pitchers are damn good.
I'd take Percival over Carter in a heartbeat. For what it's worth, I think there's a possibility that Colome may get a shot at some saves later on in TB, reducing Carter's worth even more.
Yeah, I would too, but if Izzy doesn't come back (or not the same) and I dump Carter, that would leave me with just Percy and Rivera ... so I'd be in trouble. That's why Willis seems the best option to dump.
I'm trying to trade Kevin Brown for Smoltz, though.
Gotta take risks in fantasy. I would drop Carter and hope for the best with Izzie.
Willis will be picked up the seond you drop him. Have you seen this guy pitch? He's one of those, "Oh my God, he's got good stuff!!!" type pitchers.
Sure, he'll probably cool down, but I would start him every time until he does.
Carter pitches for the Rays. Even if he stays closer, it's not like he's going to win you the championship or cost you the championship. You can find someone similar on the wire. Drop him.
