Been keeping an eye on this dude lately, but don't know much about him. I know he will get run support in Anaheim, and heard he will be replacing Escobar while he gets surgery. Any thoughts on whether he will produce?
This kid has talent, though he's probably one of those pitchers who you have to really pay attention to the matchups when deciding whether to start or not. Even then, be prepared for the occasional slip up. Check out his game log... flashes of brilliance... but watch out for performances like when he played Florida.
He will be in the regular rotation, since Escobar is going into surgery today.
I'm not starting him against Texas tomorrow. Plus, I think he will get skipped over for the KC series. That leaves MIN followed by SEA... not sure against MIN, but definitely start against SEA.
i got him in a H2H league. i cannot afford to sit him. if he gets me 5 Ks, goes 6 innings and does not give up more than 3 runs against texas.....then i will be happy.
Keeper League - scoop him up now.
Non-Keeper - could be a lot of AND

I think he's the real deal. Even in the games he has blown up or had a bad inning or two, he seems to regain his composure very quickly, which is an incredible plus for such a young pitcher. I don't think anyone is questioning his stuff, and I see no evidence that he is a headcase or anything like that as of yet.

I'm gonna hold Santana out tomorrow. Despite the Angels current bullying of Texas, it's possible the Ranger might get a good outing from Young.
I think this start will be a good indicator of Santana's consistency... if he has a good start tomorrow, he will be automatic start against MIN and SEA. If he doesn't fare well tomorrow... I'll be reluctant to start against MIN but still hold him for the SEA matchup.
This guy has electric stuff and has the potential to be an ace someday. I've always been a big fan of his. As for his start against Texas, I'm sitting him
