Hermanson (who's next in line?)

Postby Padsin05 » Wed Jun 29, 2005 11:03 am

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Dustin Hermanson's father has a medical condition that my cause Hermanson to miss some time in the future.
''He just warned me ... he doesn't know anything yet,'' manager Ozzie Guillen said. ''To me, family is more important than baseball. Baseball does a lot of stuff for us, but one day baseball is going to go and our family is going to still be there.'' Jun. 29 - 10:46 am et

from rotoworld, every save helps and I have a free RP spot I use for middle relievers/temp closers

Whats consensus on closer if he has to leave

CHW

JUN 29: Closer – Dustin Hermanson; Next – Shingo Takatsu; Sleeper – Cliff Politte

MAY 25: Closer – Hermanson; Next – Takatsu; Sleeper – Damaso Marte.

APR 27: Closer – Takatsu; Next – Hermanson; Sleeper – Luis Vizcaino.

MAR 29: Closer – Takatsu; Next – Hermanson; Sleeper – Marte.

A lot of Hermanson’s stats suddenly look human… 0-2 record, 1.23 WHIP, 18/11 K/BB ratio, 5.40 June ERA, rumors of fatigue… can you sell now?

this is also from rotoworld's latest column, I dont think I agree with Takatsu being next in line, Politte has done well but I was looking at Marte/Cotts as well

So I shouldn't neccesarily leap to grab Takatsu off the wire (dropping Mota or Urbina in the process)?

p.s. - yeah, I'm desperate ... I'm down to Fuentes and Weathers for saves :-o.
• Aaron Hill: Avoids DL Jul 12 (RotoWire)
• Aaron Hill: Headed for DL Jul 12 (RotoWire)

See if Timlin's available. He got the save today. Foulke might be out. I picked him up just in case.

Foulke's not out, he threw 47 pitches yesterday and needed a rest according to Rotoworld. Timlin might get a few chances the rest of the way but he aint gonna get more than Hermanson...
