Planning for this year and the future

5x5 Roto Keeper - 10 Teams

(We keep 7 - At least 3 Hitters & 3 Pitchers. I could keep only 6, and have an additional draft pick before everyone else.)

C: V. Martinez
1B: Shelton
2B: Soriano
SS: Rollins
IF: P. Polanco
3B: Rolen
OF: Burrell, Bay, Drew
UT: Griffey Jr.
BN: O. Cabrera, Nevin (DL - but no spot for him)
DL: Bonds, Chipper

SP: R.Johnson, Schmidt, Webb, Garland, Sabathia, Arroyo
RP: Fuentes, Foulke, Mesa
DL: Gagne

I am 4th out of 10. Two teams have seperated themselves and would be pretty hard to catch. He is my attitude toward my team:

I would keep 4 out of the following hitters:

Soriano
V. Martinez
Rolen
Rollins
Bay
Bonds (only on the chance he proves his recover this year)

As you can see, I have little SP or RP studs. I am tempted to trade away one of my "excess" hitters for a comprable SP, possibly a keeper.

I'll try to answer any posts quickly, so if I need to put any more info up or answer questions, pleaselet me know.

Just let me know how I should plan for the future with this team. I would like to build a strong 7 keepers working toward next year. Thanks for any time you put in this!! Leave Link.

Trading for a younger quality starter makes sense to me. The only reliever I might try to acquire is F-Rod, otherwise I would stick with trying to obtain a starter.

I would keep V-Mart, Soriano and Rollins for sure.
On the pitching side, I would keep RJ, Webb and Gagne if deciding today.

(I would actually try to trade RJ, but I doubt you'll get too much value in return right now...likewise with Schmidt).
