I'll probably go buy a ticket for Batman Begins, and go see War of The Worlds. If War is good, I'll buy a ticket for it next weekend and go see something else, if it's not, it's another ticket for Batman. Gotta love ushers who don't care!

Well in the book, its sort of a happy ending. I won't ruin it for you.

My wife and I are probably going to see it this weekend. I've seen the original B&W version, and I've read the book. She's never even heard of it until now. It's all I've been able to do to keep from telling her the ending, which I'm assuming won't be changed since the two are so intertwined.

I mean, when I think of War of the Worlds, I think of its famous ending. If Spielberg changed it, then he's even more pompous than I thought he was.
