Homering Hank

Two bombs today, but Hank Blaylock has dissapointed me so far this season. Anyone else feel that way? Plus, do you think this could trigger a hot streak?

First off it's Blalock

Secondly 14 HR, 45 RBI, .280 AVG, and 1 SB isn't that bad..So I'm happy with the production he's giving me. If you think thats bad..I don't know what's good..

I could understand expecting improvement from the 24-year old slugger, but he's pretty much on par with his numbers from the past two seasons.

Projo'ed out to 162 games (will be a little high, but comes to nice, round numbers)...

27 HR, 95 RBI, 90 R, .280 avg.

Seems like pretty nice stats from 3B... which turned out to be a slightly weaker position than we all thought coming into the season.

True, but I've got a little bone to pick with this guy, only because I was enept and drafted him too high...... now I watch the Texas stat line every night with blalock going 2/5 with 1 RBI and the rest of the team putting up insane # :(

I have David Wright on my team, but started Blalock most of the season expecting the more experienced Blalock to out perform him. They are both very similar this season, but going into tonight wright had outperformed him in every category. Honestly, I was expecting Hank to be a top five thirdbaseman this season, and he is barely staying in the top 10.

I can easily deal with the production, but I was expecting a .300 avg from him.

Yeah, Cause I enjoy drafting top 3B like Beltre, Rolen, and Chipper. They have been stinking it up this year. Chipper's barely played. Beltre is off the juice and he can't hit anymore, and Rolen has been injured. I would much rather have Hank.

I agree with that. Blalock has been fairly consitant this season, though below my expectations. I wouldrather deal with that then the miserable start of Chavez and friends.

Look at his stats, it seems you only want to play him at home.

On the Road: 14 runs - 2 hr's - 14 rbi's - .260 avg.

At Home: 28 runs - 12 hr's - 31 rbi's - .302 avg (before tonights game)

As the weather warms in Arlington so will the bats. As if they need warm weather to hit. Hammerin Hank hitting clean up will put up sweet numbers the rest of the way. Sandwiched between Tex and Soriano doesn't hurt either. How is that for some protection?
