While his second half stats have historically improved after April/May, it's nearly July and we still haven't seen much. I'm starting to wonder if I should move him while there is still a second half left in the year to claim to the other managers "he'll have a hot second half." Rumors that he might be traded are keeping my hopes alive more than his second half promise, which at this point, seems a little underwhelming.
Yeah, I learned real quick around here to gauge whose opinions I feel I can actually rely on. I see ten guys in a row spout, "Huff's a second half MONSTER! He's just waiting to break out!!!" yet it's apparent they probably haven't seen a single at bat from the guy this season. When I saw him, he looked like a friggin rookie at the plate, overmatched, and not fully swinging at pitches due to his lack of contact. That said, it's possible he turns around and has a second half comparable to his last two years; but keep in mind, heading into the last two breaks, he was coming off very good months. Anybody who's banking on a huge second half from this guy and trading a lot to go out and get him should re-evaluabe their stance. I see it far too often around here. Guys simply following a trend that pops up on the board, and it ends up burning them; and I haven't been here that long. It's a result of opinions being a lot like a-holes; everybody has one, and they all stink... well, except my opinion that is.

what size league are you in that huff, sizemore, and hafner are on the free agent list??????
but anyways about huff,,, i think he is a solid buy low player for the next couple of months... even though he has been close to terrible for 3 months now,,, i just think he has to heat up a little bit down the stretch,,,, who knows maybe a trade to a different team is just what Mr. Huff needs to get it going..... but to get huff for dye,,, i would easily take huff and pray he turns things around

I'm not so sure about any league where that series of events happens...

Yeah, something ain't right there. If the guys you mentioned like Hafner, Sizemore, and Huff are ont he WW in a 12 team league, I shudder to think who's actually on guys' rosters. None of the above mentioned should be on the WW in 10 team leagues, some of them not even in 8 teamers.
Ok ok ok, listen up everyone...I decided to sit him down for the first time this week and already he's hit a 3-run homer...Expect big things from him this week and this week only!!!!
PS. Can I start the "I hate Huff" fan club?
Thanks chipper!!!!
There is such a thing called clutch and David Ortiz is the modern day definition of it
