The guy just doesn't seem like he's going to pull it together this season!

Alot of his success last year was probably just opposition hitters not being familiar with him and how to hit him, which is the same reason Brandon Webb and Dontrelle Willis are looking like such great pitchers right now. As soon as teams get to see the pitcher for the second or third time, they start making adjustments and unless the pitcher makes adjustments as well, he starts getting hit. He'll probably settle down eventually, but you have to realize that alot of his success last year was likely a mirage.

Remember that Lackey was never a stellar prospect for the Angels, just a mediocre guy that they projected as a bottom of the rotation starter. He sudden success at the end of the year led to unrealistic expectations for him to keep it up, and so far this year he looks like he belongs back in AAA. Time to give him the boot, unless you're in a deep keeper league.
