have to bump this one, due to what appears to be jaret's imminent return:
from rotoworld.com:
Jaret Wright allowed two hits in six scoreless innings for Single-A Tampa tonight.
Wright struck out eight and walked none, although he did hit two batters. He topped out at 94 mph. Wright will make at least one more start in the minors. If he pitches nearly as well as he did tonight, he might rejoin the Yankees during the middle of the month.

Yup. Sure sounds like he pitched well. It is A level ball though.
He's expected to be in the bullpen at this point upon return.

not that i care one way or another, but why would they have him pitching 6 innings in one night if they're preparing him for the pen?

Well they don't want him to become a career reliever. There just may not be a spot for him in the rotation when he gets back. He'd be a long man and start if someone has problems.
