I've carried him this far, thinking he would eventually get some saves. Does anyone in-the-know think he'll amount to anything soon?

I need to find it but I'm still reading that Baker continues to say that Alfonseca will eventually be the closer.

i watched a couple cubs games in the last week or two and the announcers reported that baker said alfonseca will get the job back when he is ready. so as long as alf keeps giving up runs, he is going to stay as the setup man. if he starts pitching like he used (which still wasnt as good as borowski in my opinion) he will get the job back, if we are to believe what baker says.
rotoworld had this to say:
LATEST NEWS - May 20 - Previous News
Manager Dusty Baker says Antonio Alfonseca may eventually get back his job as closer, but doesn't seem to be in a hurry for that to happen. ''Eventually, like I told you, I'm going to flip-flop them someday; I just don't know when,'' Baker said Monday. Use this news how you will. If the Cubs keep winning with Joe Borowski closing and Alfonseca in a setup role, there wouldn't be much reason to make a change.
