Sportsline saying he left game for xray of bruised heel. they didn't say exactly what caused injury. i love Nick for helping me out this year but man he is the definition of fragile. with him and Sweeney as my 1B on roster there are going to be some hairy weeks.
anybody see anything additional on this?

Yahoo just reported:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jun 26 The Associated Press reports Washington Nationals 1B Nick Johnson (heel) was removed from the team's game Sunday, June 26, in the seventh inning with a bruised right heel.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I really hope that this isn't the beginning of "Big Stick" Nick going back to his old fragile ways. He has been great for my team this year. Guess I am lucky I wast patient with Hafner, I may definetly need him at 1B now.

Unless he is cleared to play tomorrow he is a must bench in weekly lineup leagues.
It doesn’t sound too severe, but with his brittle history I’m not too overly optimistic of him only missing a few games.
As he has been my waiver pickup replacement after trading D. Lee late April (who hasn’t slowed down like he was supposed to), I’m sure he will miss a week or two minimum.

"Son we would like to keep you around here but were trying to win a pennant this year."

It looked like he hurt it when he scored on Castilla's double. He kind of took an odd step to get around the catcher. Hopefully not too serious since I just lost Nevin for at least a couple weeks too.

i agree with that last one...Nick must have a woman in whatever city they are hitting next. he just wants to rest nights after active days
well for me it's Sweeney or Nick for the week so i'm going to have to go with Nick and fingers crossed.

I've said it before, with Nick Johnson, at least it's not his wrist/hands. Those have been his major problems throughout his major/minor league career.

Yeah..............that's a good move..I agree, but who did you trade Lee for?
I traded Lee in April also and I got Soriano straight-up.......this was right before Lee's big slump so I thought I had it made.
