Cool McGwire Story

A couple years ago when i was 13 and really big into cards, i opened a $5 pack of Upperdeck Play Ball i beleive, and pulled a McGwire Jersey/Auto #'d to 25. The biggest pull of my life, the owner was floored too, it was sweet. The owner said he knew a customer who was interested, so a walk in a week later, and that same customer that was interested happpened to be there. On the spot i offer $250 and about another $100 in cards, the guys agrees, writes the owner a check, the owner hands me $250 CASHHHH, and i grab a few sweet cards the seller had offered including clemens rookie, nomar jersey, pedro jersety, i left like a kid after christmas, my mom was floored too, she couldnt believe i walked out with $250 cash, anything like this happen to anyone else?

I pulled a Derek Jeter Rookie Card, and managed to buy a Mark Mulder Rookie when he was just coming. I also pulled a Mickey Rivers game used card/auto. Thats about it. Looks like you had an exciting day.

Not a whole lot of great pulls in my past. Mostly just pretty good cards that had enough value to be able to move them, but nothing overly special.

I don't have any exciting pull stories of my own, but my dad (and I was present and watched in awe) pulled a Ryne Sandberg Donruss Elite Autograph back in the early 90's (I can't remember if the year was '91 or '92). That was a pretty big thing back then and we were both floored to see it in the pack.

I pulled a Nolan Ryan game used jersey gold version # to 25 a few years ago. Sold it on eBay for a little over $400.

Only big pull I've ever had.
