Most of the guys being mentioned here are legit, but if it's a sharp league, many of them are gone already.
One major prospect who has vanished from everyone's wactch list is Greg Miller, a Dodger southpaw who was on the fast track prior to missing all of 2004 and '05 as well (at least to date). Whether or not he can come back and pick up where he left off is unknown...but if he does, he'll be a top of the chart prospect. There's no question he had top of the rotation stuff before the injury, and he's therefore still worth watching once he starts pitching again.
BTW, as for Edwin Jackson, he is crashing and burning. He's all the way back to AA ball after getting absolutely crushed here in LV. What's interesting is that while I'm sure LA is not about to give up on him as a pitcher just yet, I wonder if he might eventually try position play if the pitchings doesn't come around. Terrific athlete, and he can hit. It's a long shot, but ya never know.
Well I think everyone has named every decent to good pitching prospect in the minors by now.
Anyways since thehat mentioned Greg Miller, I might as well give a plug for Cole Hamels. He is already back pitching in the minors now and he doesn't seem to have missed a beat. His debut in High A was 5 no hit innings with just 2 walks and 8 K's. As long as he is healthy I can see him moving fairly quickly, more so then most would think. It's not that no one has heard of him, but that people have forgot about him.
