Greg Maddux and knuckleballer Tim Wakefield have both been charged with five wild pitches in 2005. The last time Maddux threw this many wild pitches was 1993, his first season with Atlanta.

Ah, but the telling story. Wakefield has thrown 1,640 pitches and Maddux has thrown 1,389. Oh, Maddux, Maddux, Maddux...

Wish I could find a stat for passed balls based on which pitcher was throwing. I gotta figure Wakefield is ahead of Maddux in that department (even though it's analyzed by catcher).
