WAYNE GARLAND..i think it was late 70s--10 years $3M... in today's dollars that's approx $96M...he blew his arm out the 2nd yr of the contract

God I have a major block right now...

Who was the Yankee pitcher they signed in maybe 1990 as a rookie. I think they gave him a crapload of money and he destroyed his arm in a bar fight, never pitched one inning for the team...?

Someone obviously will know the name, I can't believe it's not coming to me...
