You have quite a few guys who have underachieved so far, Beltran and Renteria being the most noteworthy. Mulder has disappointed as well. Rolen, Lopez, and Thomas have missed a lot of time due to injuries.

So it's not real surprising that you're in 7th. It would probably be tough for you to come back and win it all, but I think with some players rebounding you'll move up from 7th place by Sept. Good luck.

I don't know if I would have pulled the trigger on the Beurhle trade, he seemed to be your only true ace, and you already have Konerko. Ortiz is a beast tho, so you'll def. get a jump in your hitting stats. I don't see you winning either but your underperformers like Beltran have nowhere to go but up from here.
