Excluding pitchers and assuming Vlad was healthy....

I think it would be Arod/Soriano/Vladdy/ and then Pujols at #4. He's that good.

In real life I would say Pujols is #2 behind Bonds. # 5 in fantasy behind Soriano, A-Rod, Bonds, Vlad. Sheff's moving his way up also...

My leagues 1st round draft picks - I am NeedsMoreBacon and I'm very happy with my pick.

1 Georgia Red Nex Alex Rodriguez (SS TEX)
2 Field of Dreams Randy Johnson (SP ARI)
3 Carolina's Finest Vladimir Guerrero (RF MON)
4 the finns Alfonso Soriano (2B NYY)
5 NeedsMoreBacon Albert Pujols (LF STL)
6 Downeasters Pedro Martinez (SP BOS)
7 Swashbucklers Curt Schilling (SP ARI)
8 YA Yankess Barry Bonds (LF SF)
9 Hitmen Magglio Ordonez (RF CHW)
10 Gone to the game Sammy Sosa (RF CHC)

Next yeah, I'd probably rank them: Arod, Soriano, Pujols.

As in raw hitting:

1-bonds
2-manny
3-pujols
4-sheffield

fantasy-wise (this year)
1-soriano
2-pujols
3-a-rod
4-nomar
5-(Glaus/Rolen/Lowell)

I would draft Pujos before bonds anyday. Power with avg. you cant beat that. Plus bonds is a injury liability.

I'd draft Pujols over A-Rod... Pujols plays a more shallow position, has more flexibility and gets about the same equivalence in terms of raw #'s.

I had 3rd pick in a 10 team snake draft, and somehow got Pujols in the second round, which means 18th overall. Everyone was taking pitchers or big time home run hitters.
I think that in terms of baseball, not fantasy, Pujols is the second best hitter at the moment, but will be the best hitter in the league for years to come.
