ANDRUW JONES!

Postby ScrappyDoo » Fri Jun 24, 2005 10:11 pm

Where you think hell end up with at the end of the year, hes gotta break 40 HR's with the way hes batting now.

You think 110 R, 42 HR, 110 RBI, .270 avg and 4 SB's is a good estimate?

Also is this the real Andruw Jones, or should I trade him while hes at his peak value.

I wouldn't say its a bad estimate at all. ;-)

I was very high on Jones before the season even started. He's 28 and he's at the peak of his career. His AVG won't be so good, but damn! He can hit the ball! I think he will reach 40 + homeruns. He was bound for a breakout year, and this season...It's finally coming true. ;-D

Take out Jones's one terrible week and he is hitting .296 on the year. Many people, myself included predicted him to break out this year and so far he has been everything expected and more. I would not be surprised to see him hit 285-290 with 40 HR.

Can't really take credit for Andruw breaking out this year :-t He's supposed to break out and reach the elite level every year, but he's been a perennial disappointment to that extent. He's caught fire as of late, but he's pretty much the same Andruw Jones that he's been over the years.

Why not? He already has (.303 in 2000).
