Leftovers?

Lugo and his 19 steals account for 7 total points in my roto league right now. I don't play in a league wheree freel/lugo/polanco/cantu are available, and one of those is a 10 team with a couple newbies I'm doing around here for fun.

Here's how I see it

lugo/freel (freel's better numbers vs lugo's safe job and SS eligibility even out to me)

polanco/cantu - do you like the safe play or the risky one?

Basically, right now. I have Renteria at SS, and Lugo at 2nd. I was thinking about benching Edgar until he heats up, and sliding maybe Lugo to SS and picking up a 2b.

Always depends what you need when rating this stuff.. but wow, really Lugo is a leftover? .293 AVG with 19 SBs, 39 R and 32 RBI out of your 2B or SS? He's 7th in all of baseball in Stolen bases, and for that matter the guy right above him is Freel.

Don't know the league, but if it's a 10 teamer, both these guys should probably be on a squad
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike
