Has his recent performance record taken away his shot at closing this year, or might this make them give him the shot to see if that's his forte, rather than MR?

I've been dumping him on various teams over the last week.

I'm beginning to wonder, Mookie.
The Reds have completely mishandled Wagner from the start. Fact is, he should be closing in the minors right now, or at least should have been in which case he may have been ready by now. Instead, this incompetent organization is doing a great job getting him all fouled up, and I would say his longterm value is in serious question if he remains a Red.

Anyone heard rumblings of him getting thrown out of the fireplace and into the fire and being a closer?

Wagner was nearly lights out as a set up guy, and he nearly has most of my 19 holds, but somewhere along the way something happened to him. I haven't dropped him yet, but he's on my bench and I'm shopping him around.
