How much is Soriano worth??

Postby CoranMoran » Fri Jun 24, 2005 11:54 am

Head to Head league:

I currently have Soriano in my Utility spot.
I am looking to trade him 1-for-1 for another big bat.
My hope is that I can use his positional value (since good 2b are rare) to trade up and get a player who scores even more points.

The offer I have received is for Teixera.

Is this a good deal for me? Or should I hold out with expectations of being able to get an even bigger bat?

Please advise.

I would hold out. Tex is top 3 at his position, but Soriano is clearly number 1 at his. I guess it depends on who you currently have at 1b and 2b.

Who's a bigger bat than Tex? Pujols??? Vlad??? See if someone is overloaded at OF but not set a 2b, then you might get an abreu for him. Honestly, though, I'd stay put. 40+hr, 100+rbi, 20+steals, and a decent avg. - what else do you really want in a util player?
