- OF Johnny Damon
(shoulder) may get an occasional off night, as MAN Terry Francona wants Damon to rest a strained rotator cuff... OF Manny Ramirez
(leg) left the game June 18 in the fifth inning, after getting hit by a pitch thrown by Pittsburgh Pirates P Dave Williams. He was back in the lineup by June 20.
New York Yankees
- SP Kevin Brown
(back) has been placed on the 15-day disabled list due to back problems... 1B Tino Martinez
(foot) had plantar fasciitis, an inflammation of tissue on the underside of the foot.
Tampa Bay Devil Rays
- SP Scott Kazmir
(ankle) had to leave the game against the St. Louis Cardinals June 17 in the fourth inning, after suffering a mild ankle sprain. He was not expected to miss his next start... OF Rocco Baldelli
(elbow) is out for the year with a torn ligament in his right elbow.

Chicago White Sox
- SP Orlando Hernandez
(shoulder) was placed on the 15-day disabled list due to continued discomfort in his right shoulder. He may need a rehab assignment before rejoining the team... SS Juan Uribe
(back) was scratched from the starting lineup June 21 and is day-to-day with a stiff lower back.
- P Jason Stanford
(elbow) suffered a setback from Tommy John surgery when he developed some forearm tightness in his left arm. The injury has pushed Stanford's timetable for returning to action back until around the All-Star break... 3B Aaron Boone
(strep throat) was scratched from the starting lineup June 21 against the Boston Red Sox and is day-to-day... SP Kevin Millwood
(groin) was activated from the 15-day disabled list.
- OF Magglio Ordonez
(hernia) would need to spend 7-10 days on a rehab assignment when ready, accumulating 30 at-bats before the team will recall him... SS Carlos Guillen
(knee) may return to the active lineup June 23. If he does, he is likely to serve as a designated hitter against the Minnesota Twins and then sit out for three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks, as the NL ballparks do not have a DH rule.
Kansas City Royals

- SP Kelvim Escobar
(elbow) threw a bullpen session at close to 100 percent and used all his pitches Tuesday, June 21. If everything went as planned, he'll play long toss later this week and throw a simulated game June 24... OFGarret Anderson
(hamstring) returned to the outfield June 20 for the first time since June 11 after a hamstring injury kept him at DH... SS Orlando Cabrera
(elbow) was scratched from the game June 20 with a tender right elbow and is day-to-day.
- SP Rich Harden
(oblique) was activated from the 15-day disabled list June 21... CL Huston Street
(hamstring) has a slightly strained left hamstring and will likely not be available for several days.
- P Rafael Soriano
(elbow) could start a rehab assignment as early as June 24. He will be put on a three-week rehabilitation program, taking him to the All-Star break... 3B Adrian Beltre
(hamstring) returned to action June 19 after sitting out the team's five previous games because of a strained left hamstring... P Felix Hernandez
(shoulder), now pitching with Triple-A Tacoma, will miss his next start because of mild bursitis in his right shoulder.

(finger) began a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma June 18... OF Ruddy Yan
(elbow), now playing for Double-A Frisco, will be out for a month, after having bone chips removed from the elbow of his right arm.
NATIONAL LEAGUE EAST
- 1B Julio Franco
(virus) got a day off June 19 in order to continue to recover from an illness that he had throughout much of the previous week. He is still day-to-day.
- SP Josh Beckett
(blister) has been placed on the 15-day disabled list. He threw a bullpen session June 18, throwing only fastballs to keep his arm strength up.
New York Mets
- OF Mike Cameron
(quadriceps) had fluid taken out from his left quadriceps June 20... RP Dae-Sung Koo
(shoulder) was activated from the 15-day disabled list... 2B Kazuo Matsui
(knee) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a severely bruised left knee, retroactive to June 17. There is no timetable for Matsui's return, but general manager Omar Minaya did say the injury was serious.
- SP Randy Wolf
(elbow) met with Dr. Michael Ciccotti June 22. A decision about Tommy John surgery could come soon... SP Vicente Padilla
(neck) did not make his start June 22 due to an inflamed muscle in his neck... RPTim Worrell

(back) left the game against the Toronto Blue Jays June 17 due to a lower back strain.
- 1B Craig Wilson
(finger), out after having finger surgery in early May, was examined again June 22 by a hand specialist... IF Freddy Sanchez
(hamstring) was a game-time decision for the June 22 game against the Washington Nationals... RP Mike Gonzalez
(knee) has a bad knee and will wear a brace on it the rest of the season.
St. Louis Cardinals
- RP Ray King
(back) appeared to hurt his back in the seventh inning June 22, but after speaking with the trainer he stayed in to finish the inning... OF Jim Edmonds
(rib) returned to the starting lineup June 22... OF Larry Walker
(neck) again was forced from the lineup by neck stiffness and might be further examined in St. Louis on June 23... 3B Scott Rolen

(kidney) was taken to the hospital after it was believed he passed a kidney stone June 18... 3B Troy Glaus

(ribs) had an MRI reveal a stress fracture of a rib in his right ribcage. He'll be re-evaluated in two weeks.
- SP Aaron Cook
(blood clots), who was out since August 2004 while recovering from blood clots in his lungs, worked an abbreviated simulated game on June 21. He was pronounced ready to begin a minor-league rehabilitation assignment... 2B Aaron Miles
(rib cage) is likely to be activated from the 15-day disabled list either June 27 or June 28... C Todd Greene
(hamstring) suffered hamstring cramps during a minor-league rehab game June 21 with Triple-A Colorado Springs. Rockies manager Clint Hurdle said Greene's return to the majors would likely be pushed back a few days... P Blaine Neal
(elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation.
Los Angeles Dodgers
- SP Odalis Perez
(shoulder) made his second rehab start June 20, giving up two hits, no runs and walked one while throwing 44 pitches against the Tacoma Rainiers... OF Milton Bradley
