I just traded B-Rob, Lidge, & Grienke for Ichiro, T Jones, & Cantu. I believe B-Rob will taper off to what should be reasonablly expected which in my mind could be very similar to Cantu just more steals. This year Lidge & T Jones have been about equal & I already had Mota so this gives me the sure Marlin save when there is one. I get Ichiro when he's selling at a low. Anyway I believe Cantu will perform equally as well as B-Rob for the rest of the year. Cantu better power & RBI B-Rob better runs scored & steals.

I'd say he should be good for a 20-80 year w/ an AVG. about .280. His big downfall is that he doesn't walk, so that could hurt him more in the long run .... though he also doesn't strike out very much either. For a 2B, he should produce solid numbers and I'm sure he was cheap (probably got him as a FA).

No one is saying that he is a first rounder...yet (crossing my fingers) but to continually deny his stats id foolish. If he ends the year at .300/20/80, you will have to look at him as a top 2B. I don't think those numbers are out of line.

I live just north of tampa, so I watch alot of the games. He is solid player especially for 2nd base. I like him.

I think if he put the bill of his helmet up a little more so he can see better, he would be awesome

One note on Cantu is that he seems to be improving his discipline a bit, having walked four times in the past eight games after garnering just three BB's all season prior to that.

Also, he's maintained an excellent contact rate all season.

Cantu is better than I thought he would be.
