Nothing wrong with free magazines, but you'd think they'd at least include a friendly note expaining what's up (and inviting you to subscribe, of course). Oh well, guess not. :-?

My mom was pissed once because she went to get the mail the day the SI swimsuit edition was out.

Why does it need to be on a different day than the normal SI? :-t

Yeah, I was lucky to snag that after school before anyone got home... ;-)

Well I'll give it one more cycle like JT said, if I get another one, I might just call them up. Thanks for the help guys.

I actually got a Cingular cellphone in the mail and a bill. They claimed that I ordered it, which was untrue. They asked me to do all of these things to cancel my account and I politely told them that all that I would do was mail the phone back on their dime and nothing else as I never asked for it. Everything is cool now.

As for Maxim, I would like to think that there is a number somewhere in the magazine but their site is very customer un-friendly. All that I found was this e-mail address for subscription issues:

yeah my friend got his subscription cancelled by his mommy when she saw that one.

This sounds familiar. Call this place and, cancel. I can almost guarantee they are responsible. As somebody stated earlier, it may take a week or two because they are preordered. If you call do not leave a message, insist on speaking to somebody.
