Former Tiger Guillermo Hernandez will be back in town during the All-Star Break. Hernandez, the 1984 American League most valuable player and Cy Young Award winner back when he used to be called Willie, will manage the World Team in the XM Satellite Radio All-Star Futures Game on July 10 at Comerica Park.
The All-Star Futures Game features the top U.S. and International Minor League prospects competing against each other as part of All-Star Sunday. Hall of Famer George Brett will manage the U.S. team in the seven-inning game that will begin at 4 p.m. and will be televised live on ESPN2.
