According to Yahoo, Johan Santana is going to be taking Rick Reed's place in the rotation and will be pitching this Saturday. Has anyone heard more about this? Could this be an audition for a permanent rotation spot?
He is a free agent in my league, and I was thinking of dropping Livan Hernandez (my weakest starter ) for him, but I don't want to do so if he's only going to give me one start then head back to the pen.

He'll probably get two starts before Reed gets back unless his injury takes a turn for the worse. Santana is the first guy to go into the rotation when a pitcher goes down, but there's no guarantee that will happen soon or at all this year.
