Is it safe to assume that Chavez and VMart have found their respective strokes now?
Here here are there performance totals for the past 21 days:
Chavez: .366 7HR 16RBI .444 OBP
Vmart: .270 3HR 11 RBI .377 OBP
Although Vmart's bounce isn't the stuff of Brian Roberts -- he has been walking like an Egyptian; a .500 OBP the past week which is a good sign.

I finally got a chance to watch VMart this week against my Red Sox. He looked really good. I mean really good. When he wasn't getting hits, he was fouling off pitches left and right and driving pitches to the outfield. He had a couple of RBI in the series and managed to get on base quite a bit. I feel alot more confident with him as my fantasy catcher from here on out than I have all season.

well said in the preceding post. v-mart looks like a completely different guy at the plate then he did a month ago. similar to last year my guess is he is going to explode for a couple of months and then fade again as the season goes further into the 2nd half.

Eric Chavez has been "back" for about 2 months now...he's been killing the ball lately.

And earlier this year he wasn't having nearly as good as ABs. He would pop up or hit lazy flyballs a lot. I hope he can continue to show signs of improvement, because for the Indians to have a shot at the playoffs he'll have to.

Well, for the record, Chavez is outproducing Tejada over the last month. Draw your own conclusions...

Beltran's boy, I knew you would be in on this thread. So far, good call. Chavez doesn't completely suck. Just for short periods of time. Of course, I'd still take Tejada. The end results are what count most. And I give you credit, he is closing the gap. However, there still is a gap.
