Beltre is hitting doubles

buy beltre now if you can, because he's finally coming around. he's hit in 9 of his last 11 (including pre-injury games),including 5 multi-hit games. the RBI and homers arn't there, so many people probably havn't noticed, but you can see the power in the form of 4 doubles in his past 5 games. the fact that he looks more patient at the plate (he's drawn walks in 4 strait now, including tonight) indicates that he might just return to that contract-year-induced (if you subscribe to the TheYanks04 way of thinking) elite form. i'm not quite sold that he'll hit .330 the rest of the way, but .315 certainly wouldn't surprise me, and when ichiro starts hitting again (and does anyone really think he won't?), you'll see some nice periferals as well.

so trade those troy glauses and joe randa's for him while you've still got the chance.

Beltre is on my team and, yes, I have noticed. I'm ecstatic that he's hitting the ball well and even more so that he's FINALLY taking pitches and working the count more. But he's shown flashes of 2004 form before this year, so I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Just like his other "hot streaks" this latest one coincided with interleague play. He also had good games when he matched up against ex-NL pitching like that east coast trip where he faced Unit, Wade Miller, matt clement.

Looks promising non the less. But I'll temper my expectations til he does it vs some AL consistently.

Isn't this about the time where hes seen most of the teams hes going ot see once?
